Resonance Suppressor.

Resonance suppressor

Smooze finds harsh resonances as they happen and smooths them out band by band, only for as long as they ring. Soft mode adapts to the material; Hard mode works on a fixed threshold and is made for sidechain duties.

A depth curve of up to eight bands decides where it works and where it leaves the sound alone, and 110 factory presets cover vocals, drums, bass, guitars, keys, buses and the master.

    Soft and Hard

    Soft uses an adaptive threshold that doesn't depend on level; Hard uses a fixed one — more aggressive and ideal for sidechain.

    Detail and timing

    From broad bumps to narrow, deep cuts. Attack and release depend on frequency, and TILT sets them separately for the lows and the highs.

    Depth curve

    Up to 8 bands in 8 shapes — cuts, shelves, bell, band pass, notch and tilt — each with its own stereo focus, bypass and listen.

    Delta and sidechain

    DELTA plays only what is being removed. An external sidechain can drive the detector, and SC LISTEN lets you hear the key.

    Quality and latency

    NORMAL, HIGH and ULTRA detector resolution, LIN PHASE without phase shifts and LOW LAT with zero latency for recording.

  • 6

    Stereo and workflow

    L/R or M/S with LINK and FOCUS, A/B comparison, a full undo history and a window from S to XL.
